HATS (Hilton Amateur Theatrical Society) first production was performed in 1989. Since then, the village and the group have grown, moved from the old Village Hall to the new one, and provided entertainment for Hilton and the surrounding areas on a regular basis.
Currently, HATS performs two main shows every year - a pantomime at the end of January/beginning of February and a summer show in June or July. In addition, HATS have also put on several variety shows and murder mysteries.
HATS rehearse on Sunday afternoons from 3pm - 6pm at the Don Amott Memorial Hall (formerly Hilton Village Hall). New members are always welcome, whether they are interested in acting, or getting involved in all of the other aspects of a production such as set building, costume design, prop making, painting or front of house duties on show nights.
